Production Associate

Job Description

Position Title:   Production Associate
Department:   Operations
Location:  One Solution Logistics – Greensburg, Indiana
FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt
Job Reports to:   Supervisor

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • None

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Able to work overtime pre and post shift as needed with short notice at times
  • Handle boxes/containers of various weights and sizes up to 40 lbs. and carry to conveyor line
  • Count and package parts into a container
  • Tag boxes with proper identification
  • Scanning of part labels with RF Scanners
  • Operation of PIV equipment (Tugger, Fork Lift, Stock Picker, Turret Truck) required and must exhibit proficiency
  • Remove cardboard, plastic, and other waste products from large containers which move along automatic conveyor line
  • De-label containers using a scraper knife or by pulling labels off manually
  • Cross-train throughout department(s)
  • Manual checking of parts against container label
  • Parts integration

 Minimum Requirements (education, experience, skills, licenses and/or certifications):

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs repetitively for 8 hours
  • Organized, detail oriented and accurate
  • Good communication skills
  • High level of teamwork
  • Forklift certified a plus but not required
  • High School Diploma or GED not required

    Essential Physical Requirements:

    • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
    • While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to bend, lift, stand, walk, see, talk and/or hear.
    • Able to work overtime pre and post shift as needed with short notice at times.

    Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed indoors in a temperature controlled facility.
    • Work may be performed around moving objects (automated conveyors and forklifts) and/or in confined spaces (between pallets or inside trailers).
    • Personal Protective Equipment: Steel toed shoes, bump caps, and safety glasses are required on the production floor, some departments require ear protection and Kevlar sleeves.

    Yard Driver

    Job Description

    Position Title:   Yard Driver
    Department:  Operations (Receiving)
    Location:  One Solution Logistics – Greensburg, Indiana
    FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt
    Job Reports to:   Supervisor

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • None

     Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Able to work overtime pre and post shift as needed with short notice at times
    • Operates automatic tractor trailer equipment to move trailers to designated dock doors and yard locations.
    • Receive and confirm tasks in WMS (Warehouse Management System).
    • Correctly complete all necessary documentation and paperwork, including daily inspection sheets to ensure safety and quality of the tractor.
    • Continuously conduct an exterior check of equipment before moving to and from dock including looking for the green light.

     Periodic Job Functions:

    • Correctly complete a C-TPAT inspection sheet when required.
    • Utilize bolt cutters to remove seals from C-TPAT trailers when present.
    • Hand crank dolly legs to raise and lower on certain trailers.

    Qualifications/Experience/Education:

    • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
    • Previous yard experience or CDL (Commercial Driver License) preferred but not required.
    • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction.
    • Possess interpersonal communication skills and utilize a 2-way radio for communication.
    • Able to work overtime pre and post shift as needed with short notice at times
    • Flexible to work different shift times when necessary.

    Essential Physical Requirements: 

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    • While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to bend, lift, stand, walk, see, talk and/or hear.
    • Able to climb in and descend from tractor throughout shift (minimum of 30 times per day).
    • Able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 40 lbs.
    • Able to wear PPE (ex. Bump cap, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.).

    Working Conditions: 

    • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sleet, high and low temperatures, etc.).
    • Must be able to work safely in a fast paced environment.
